Finding Good-Fit Colleges
Most students will apply to more than eight colleges. How students decide on that final list is different for everyone. We guide our students through self-discovery of their interests, strengths and potential experience at each of their colleges. By the time they apply, students need to be excited by the idea of attending any college on their list – that’s the definition of an excellent college list.
Test Planning
To many students, testing is that necessary evil they wish would go away. Reasonable perspective and proper planning make this phase of the process as comfortable and calm as can be expected.
Applying
From writing long and short essays for the UC application, the Common Application and Supplements to confirming receipt of letters of recommendation, test scores and transcripts, we methodically guide students to on-time submission for each college on their lists.
Course Selection
We help students select high school courses that support their college ambitions.
Our consulting model:
Sage College Advising is a group of three independent college counselors, Sally Doane, Pearl Glaves and Shelley Willig. Your contract is with the advisor of your choice. Because we share best practices and consult with each other regularly, our students benefit from the expertise of three advisors.
